 om celebrates baptism for two important reasons.\n\n\nThe first\, making a
  public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ is worthy of celebration. We 
 encourage all who have chosen or been drawn to Christ\, to be bold in fait
 h by not hiding nor being ashamed of the message of Jesus Christ. Praise G
 od!\nThe second reason we celebrate baptism is because of our hope in Jesu
 s. We know a belief rooted in the obedience of Christ requires a baptism o
 f the Holy Spirit. We celebrate this as an individual commits deeply to a 
 proclamation of repentance. Not only a proclaiming of faith\, but  an inv
 iting of the Holy Spirit relationally is worthy to be celebrated. By being
  baptized in the name Jesus we commit our minds\, hearts\, and lives to th
 e ways of following Jesus in the fullest. We are inviting his Holy Spirit 
 to begin and/or to continue transforming us in His image and holiness. Bap
 tism is not distinguished only in our mind\, but in our spirit\, as the Ho
 ly Spirit guides us to live into the wholeness and righteousness of Jesus.
  \nYes\, we are publicly declaring our faith\, but we are more importantl
 y celebrating the surrendering of ourselves to God\, in Jesus\, and by the
  power of his Holy Spirit\, growing in the grace and love of God. The sacr
 ament of baptism means to participate\, by faith\, in the death and resurr
 ection of Jesus Christ. \nJesus is truly Lord of our lives as the old is 
 gone and the new has come! For this\, we celebrate! \n \nScriptures:\n\n
 And Peter said to them\, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the
  name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins\, and you will rece
 ive the gift of the Holy Spirit." \n(Acts 2: 38)\n"What shall we say then?
  Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we 
 who died to sin still live in it? Do you not know that all of us who have 
 been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buri
 ed therefore with him by baptism into death\, in order that\, just as Chri
 st was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father\, we too might walk
  in newness of life. For if we have been united with him in a death like h
 is\, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his." (R
 omans 6: 1-5)\n"I baptize you with water for repentance\, but he who is co
 ming after me is mightier than I\, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry.
  He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire."\n(Matthew 3: 11)\n"Go

 of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit\, teaching them to obs
